Grimes is the son of a Pentecostal pastors in Dayton, Ohio. Grimes was a 2002 graduate of Dayton Christian High School. Luke Grimes comes from a trio of parents: Racheal Grimes (his sister), Abby Grimes (her brother), and Seth Grimes.
