Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She moved to California in the age of five. She grew up primarily in Orange County. She earned her degree from the University of California, San Diego in 2015 which is her year that she earned her biggest break in acting. Pernas was a popular actress who made tiny appearances in NCIS and Leverage before landing the part of Marisa on The Young and the Restless, was a familiar face in the soap-opera. The soap was cancelled in the year 2016, she landed another recurring part on Jane the Virgin as Catalina. The model, who is fluent in four languages, has appeared since in The Brave and The Green Ghost as Hannah Rivera. She also played in the Secret Society of Second Born Royals. On Blood & Treasure, from 2019 until 2020 she portrayed Lexi Vaziri. Us Weekly confirmed in May 2020 that Pernas is in a relationship with her ex- The Young and the Restless costar Justin Hartley. The actress from This Is Us Pernas began dating Justin Hartley after her split with Chrishell Stause. she was engaged to since November of 2019. News was reported in May of 2021 about how Pernas and Hartley were recently married with a private ceremony.
